Electrical Controls Engineer - The Role:

Lead complex electrical engineering projects including FAT and SAT activities
Produce technical documentation such as control philosophies, FDS and C&E documentation
Develop detailed cable schedules and block cable diagrams
Design and coordinate cable routing and containment with mechanical teams
Program, test and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems (TIA Portal)
Support site installation and commissioning activities
Prepare project costings and labour estimates to support the sales team
Provide technical support to internal engineers and external customers

Electrical Controls Engineer - The Person:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
Strong knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design
Hands-on PLC/HMI programming experience (TIA Portal essential)
Experience with industrial networks (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team

This role will be c50% PLC software, 40%  project work and 10% electrical design. Any supporting knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR is beneficial but not essential.

Located in Manchester, this role would be commutable from Rochdale, Bolton, Oldham, Huddersfield, Blackburn and surrounding areas.
