Role: Secondary Teacher (SEMH and challenging behaviours) - Full time
Duration: Starting January 2021 till July 2021 at a minimum
Pay rate: GBP130 - GBP200Per day (negotiable dependent on experience/training)

Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Peckham who are looking to appoint a SEMH Secondary Teacher to join them on a full time basis. The successful applicant will have experience of working either in PRUs, with behavioural needs or autistic pupils, helping to improve learning and social skills for Key Stage 3 and 4, this will include planning and teaching. You will be required to address each pupil's individual needs and work closely with the school's Senior Leadership Team to effectively plan accordingly. As a SEN Secondary Teacher you will be working closely with a range of support staff with class sizes of up to 10 pupils. The ideal candidate will a genuine passion for working in an SEMH environment, Team Teach training or any other form of positive behaviour handling is a bonus.
You will have the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status, (NQT are welcomed)
- A valid DBS Certificate on the online update subscription service (we can assist with your application)
- Previous Teaching experience pupils with Special Education Needs, specifically Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and/or autism
