Company: KARTER THOMAS LTD

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £30850/annum

Karter Thomas is delighted to be working on behalf of a forward-thinking housing provider to recruit 2 x Resource Schedulers to support their responsive repairs and maintenance service.

This is a great opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to play a key role in ensuring that operatives and subcontractors are effectively scheduled, enabling the delivery of high-quality, timely repairs to tenants.

As Resource Scheduler, you will be the engine room behind day-to-day operations—allocating appointments, monitoring job progress, and ensuring performance data is tracked and optimised.

The roles are full time and are office based, one position is a permanent role whilst the other is for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

* Allocate emergency, urgent, and routine repair appointments to operatives and subcontractors, ensuring SLA compliance and maximum resource efficiency.

* Monitor daily workloads, ensuring all booked appointments are kept and resources are fully utilised.

* Keep operatives informed of their schedules and ensure they have the tools and access required to complete jobs efficiently.

* Ensure returned or rejected tasks are promptly reallocated and that out-of-hours or downtime is correctly logged.

* Work closely with supervisors and other internal teams to resolve job-related issues, including missed appointments and delays.

* Accurately record operative activity, including start/finish times, completion notes, photos, and worksheets.

* Analyse performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, supporting the development of new working methods that enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience in a scheduling, coordination, or repairs administration role—ideally within housing, construction, or a similar environment.

* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and service delivery.

* Excellent communication and teamworking ability, with confidence to escalate issues when needed.

* Comfortable working with scheduling systems and performance data to support operational decision-making.

* A customer-first mindset with a commitment to getting things right the first time
