Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)? A warm and welcoming SEND school in Whitley Bay are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and resilient individual to join their team full-time, commencing ASAP.

About the School:
This nurturing school provides a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for children with a wide range of complex needs. Staff are passionate, highly trained, and committed to enabling every pupil to achieve their full potential through tailored support, creative approaches, and a deep understanding of each child's unique needs.

The Role:

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4

Long term with a potential for a permanent position in the new academic year 

As a member of the support team, you will:

Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with PMLD

Support students with personal care, sensory needs, and communication

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality care and learning

Use a range of specialist equipment and strategies to support learning and wellbeing

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs is highly desirable

Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude

Willingness to provide personal care and engage in all aspects of school life

A team player who is also confident working independently when needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
