My client are looking for a Plant Fitter on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a variety of plant, powered access, and tool hire equipment. Your experience in the industry and your mechanical knowledge will help ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and in peak working condition for customers.

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of equipment including small tools, plant machinery, and powered access platforms.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs both in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites.

• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and inspection reports accurately.

• Ensure all equipment complies with relevant safety regulations and LOLER/PSSR standards where applicable.

• Maintain a clean and organised workshop area and follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

• Work closely with the Hire Desk and Transport teams to prioritise urgent repairs and availability.

• Travel to customer sites or other depots as required using company vehicle.

Essential:

• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing plant hire equipment, small tools, or powered access machinery.

• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.

• Full UK Driving Licence (clean preferred).

• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
