AMLR is partnering with a reputable engineering company to recruit a skilled, reliable, and time-served CNC Machinist/ Miller to join their team.

Based at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bristol, the company offers cutting-edge technology and bespoke engineering solutions, backed by years of industry expertise.

Important: Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents and will be subject to a DBS check.

Key Responsibilities for the CNC machinist/ miller role:

* Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills) to produce parts.

* Use precision measuring instruments to check the quality of parts against specifications and tolerances.

* Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical schematics.

* Experience with specific CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Mazak) and potentially CAD/CAM software (not required as on setting operating but advantageous)

* Familiarity with working in a quality-controlled environment, such as one that follows ISO9001 standards.

* Completion of in-process inspection sheets and rout cards.

* Cutting tool setup, work holding selection and setting of datums using Renishaw probing, dial indicators and edge finders, as applicable.

* Jig and fixture manufacture.

* Aerospace experience preferable

Required Qualifications & Skills for the CNC machinist/ miller role:

* Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification preferred

* Minimum 3 years machining experience
