A leading client of ours is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to support the growth and development of its commercial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected business with a growing footprint in the construction sector, working directly under the Head of Sales to help deliver ambitious sales targets and develop key client relationships.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Manager will play a key role in identifying and converting business opportunities, developing relationships with main contractors, developers, and consultants, and supporting bid and tender processes. The successful candidate will help shape customer strategies and actively contribute to hitting revenue and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors
Manage client accounts, ensuring strong relationships and repeat business
Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, and bid documentation
Work closely with internal estimating and project teams to align sales efforts with delivery capacity
Assist the Head of Sales in developing regional growth strategies
Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the brand
Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and sales reporting process 
Requirements

Proven experience in a sales or business development role
Strong understanding of project lifecycles and procurement routes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders
Highly organised and target-driven, with a proactive mindset
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider commercial team
Willingness to travel to client meetings and project sites as required
