Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Goole/HowdenSector: Renewable Energy / Anaerobic DigestionType: PermanentStarting Salary: £36,000.00 - £37,000.00Sutton Recruitment are delighted to be working on this local opportunity with a reputable manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.Working within the Anaerobic Digestion section of the business, our aim is to create energy and capable of producing 10MW energy generation. The process of Anaerobic Digestion utilises this to create methane, which in turn is used to generate electricity that is 100% renewable and exported to the national grid.Purpose of the roleThe engineering team are responsible for the maintenance and repair of Production machinery, AD process equipment, water treatment plant, buildings and site civils along with welding and fabrication.The individual working within the team of engineers need to ensure:Adherence to safe working practicesTimely response to breakdownsHigh quality of maintenance and repairA proactive approach to improving machinery efficiency and effectivenessBe prepared to travel to sister site 8 miles awayKey areas of responsibilityAdhere to the Site Health & Safety policy in all work activitiesCompleting Planned Maintenance tasks and recording of corrective actions on the computer-based Maintenance systemEnsuring that time keeping, and punctuality is maintained at an acceptable level.Reaction to breakdowns ensuring quickest possible response and rectificationOrganisation of maintenance and improvement worksEnsure all breakdowns are recorded along with the time and typeEnsure stock levels are maintained to a reasonable economic level, ensuring common failure parts are available by identifying parts required and upcoming issues are identified to the Engineering LeaderSupervise contractors ensuring safe systems of work are followedResponsible for Pump repairs / refurbishment and any new installations and fabrications workCompletion of timely, accurate paperworkAssistance with project work with Lead EngineerJob holder will be able to:Adopt personal style to develop relationships with colleagues;Share information with colleagues;Present self in a manner appropriate to the situation;Obtain relevant information, analyse and maintain it in appropriate formats;Refer decisions to others when appropriate;Develop own knowledge of the organisation, its context and its services to fulfil objectives;Develop new processes and practices to accommodate new objectives and technological developments;Develop daily work plans for job objectives;Keep people informed of progress on key tasks; andIdentify and highlight potential obstacles in achieving objectives and propose solutions where appropriateExperienceExperienced in using Maintenance Management SystemDirecting and supervising of ContractorsKnowledgeAbility to read and interpret all Engineering DrawingsDevelopment and Implementation of ‘Safe Systems of Work’EducationalRelevant Mechanical Engineering qualification and/or Experienced time served EngineerHours40 hours per week, Monday to Friday either 08:00-16:00 or 10:00-18:00, plus call out rota and additional over time at the need of the business.RemunerationStarting salary £36,000.00 - £37,000.00Sutton Recruitment Limited offer a professional and personal service within recruitment.
