Job Description

Job Summary:

The District Manager will lead all Café operations while maintaining the highest operating standards. The District Manager must possess strong leadership, patient teaching, superior financial and business acumen and a passion for food.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years in similar role in Food Service Management-of Restaurants, Cafés or Managed Service
  • Experience with leading and developing a team

Operations

  • Responsible for overseeing 6-8 cafes
  • Trains, teaches and develops people to meet standards below
  • Holds managers accountable to deliver standards below

  • Reviews and feedback are done at all levels to maintain development

Fiscal Impact

Sales

  • Sales growth to hit budgets and beyond
  • Integral part of business modeling, contract negotiation and RFP processes
  • Writes and Implements Business plans and Marketing plans to reach these goals
  • Responsible for writing and meeting or exceeding Company Budgets for sales and profits

Profits

  • Builds and Implements systems to hit P&L budgeted targets from top to bottom of the P&L
  • Holds individuals accountable for success of their own P&Ls
  • Business Plans at all levels to achieve P&L goals, so that individuals overall are hitting bonus targets
  • Is knowledgeable of the industry trends, tools, and technology and recommends change as necessary to achieve goals and remain at the top of the industry from a profitability standpoint
  • Develops, hires, and builds a team of people who are Profit oriented, and holds them accountable to achieving Profit targets
  • Regularly reports on key measures to the Director of Dining Services
