Are you a passionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant ready to make a real difference?

We're working with a fantastic specialist SEND school in Chorley who are looking for a dedicated and energetic TA to join their team. The role involves supporting children and young people aged Early Years through to college age, many of whom have PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), complex needs, and behaviour that challenges.

This is a hands-on role - ideal for someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in and who thrives in a lively, rewarding environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting pupils with personal care, sensory needs, and daily routines

Assisting with learning across a range of subjects and age groups (EYFS to Post-16)

Helping manage behaviour in a positive, supportive way

Using specialist equipment and communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, sensory resources)

Working closely with a team of teachers, therapists, and support staff

Engaging pupils in fun, interactive learning using the school's outstanding facilities - including a hydrotherapy swimming pool, sensory rooms, and outdoor spaces

What They're Looking For:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly PMLD and SEMH/behaviour needs

A calm, resilient, and enthusiastic attitude

Someone who can hit the ground running and get fully involved

Confidence with personal care (essential)

Background in care or support work is welcome

Manual handling or Team Teach training is a bonus - but not essential
