About the Role:

Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to partner with a large manufacturing business based in Ilkley, who are currently seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their team. This is a permanent position offering an excellent hourly rate, as well as opportunities for ongoing training and career development.Working hours: Early shift (Monday - Friday 6am- 2.15pm) / Late shift (Monday - Wednesday 2.15pm - 12.30am, Thursday 2.15pm- 12am, Friday's off)Hourly Rate: £15.29 + shift allowance 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard, particularly on stainless steel.
  • Fabricate metal components to precise engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment (training available if necessary).
  • Ensure all welds meet strict quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and checks on welding equipment.
  • Work within a collaborative team, contributing to project success and achieving production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes and quality.
  • Follow company policies and health & safety regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Apprentice-trained in welding and fabrication (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel.
  • Some experience with robot welding equipment is beneficial, but training can be provided.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience fitting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and develop further in the role.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
