A leading UK transport solutions provider is looking for a savvy, commercially aware Freight Forwarding Executive to join their growing 4PL-style freight forwarding division. This team coordinates bespoke solutions across air, road, and sea - managing complex, multimodal shipments beyond the business's in-house capability.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, office-based role within a close-knit Solutions Team. You'll be working with global agents, subcontractors, and hauliers to quote and book freight across Europe and internationally.

You'll handle inbound quote requests, support field-based BDMs, and use your commercial instincts to win repeatable business - not just respond to quote requests.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage import/export shipments by road, sea, and air

* Quote and book transport via hauliers, shipping lines, and overseas agents

* Respond to enquiries, qualify opportunities, and secure profitable business

* Collaborate with BDMs and operational teams to deliver integrated solutions

* Monitor live jobs, track performance, and communicate with customers

* Use internal portals for accurate booking, invoicing, and reporting

About You

* Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transport coordination

* Strong knowledge of air, road, and sea freight and multimodal routing

* Commercial mindset - able to sell value, not just quote prices

* Familiarity with incoterms, CDS, pallet/cube rates, customs clearance

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Confident using CRM systems and logistics platforms
