1st Shift DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Quality Control Supervisor for a large food manufacturer in Tucker

$65,000-$80,000 DOE

This position involves approximately 50% of time spent on the manufacturing floor and 50% of time spent in the lab.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide and develop QA team members through training, goal-setting, and performance evaluation
• Create work schedules and assign daily tasks for quality personnel
• Monitor all aspects of food safety compliance and product quality standards
• Conduct sampling and inspection of incoming materials and ingredients
• Manage non-conforming products through investigation and resolution processes
• Serve as quality representative with vendors, customers, and internal departments
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
• Represent facility during regulatory inspections and customer audits
• Support specialty certifications
• Assist with new product development initiatives
• Verify packaging and labeling accuracy during production
• Conduct internal audits and participate in mock recall exercises
• Identify safety concerns and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years quality experience in food manufacturing industry
• Previous supervisory experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety systems: GFSI, SQF, HACCP, GMPs, FSMA
• HACCP and PCQI certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with microbiology and sanitation protocols
• Proficiency with quality improvement methodologies and statistical process control
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage diverse priorities in a fast-paced environment
