Children's Registered Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Registered Manager to lead our residential children's home. If you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), we would love to hear from you!

Location: Lewisham or Swanley (two roles available)

Salary: 48K-60K DOE

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a residential children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people.

* Develop, implement, and review care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and in line with regulatory standards.

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks including Ofsted and CQC regulations, maintaining an Outstanding or Good rating.

* Manage a team of carers and support staff, providing leadership, guidance, and training to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

* Oversee safeguarding procedures and manage complex cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.

* Support the development of the staff team through regular supervision, appraisals, and professional development opportunities.

* Maintain budgets and financial oversight, ensuring cost-effective management of the home without compromising quality of care.

* Ensure effective communication with families, external agencies, and stakeholders, promoting positive relationships and collaboration.

* Work with senior leadership teams to set strategic goals, maintain high standards of service, and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.

* Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home or a similar care setting.

* Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (Ofsted, CQC) and the ability to maintain compliance.

* Proven experience in managing and developing teams, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies.

* Ability to work under pressure, manage complex cases, and make sound decisions to safeguard vulnerable children.
