SEN Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive special school in Redbridge. This Learning Support Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with children with additional needs and developing a career in education.
As a SEN Support Assistant, you will be based in a specialist school in East London, supporting pupils with a wide range of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and learning challenges. This role offers strong exposure to education and training, allowing you to develop practical skills in a real SEN environment.
The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff in Redbridge to deliver tailored learning experiences. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning activities, engage with the curriculum, and build confidence and independence. You will also contribute to education and training by supporting the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised intervention strategies.
In this Learning Support Assistant role, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where all pupils can thrive. You will assist with behaviour support strategies, encourage positive social interaction, and promote emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils within a special school setting in Redbridge as a Learning Support Assistant
