We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Christchurch. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting in April 2026 and the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role:

Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and well-structured lessons

Working with small groups and providing one-to-one support where required

Assisting with classroom preparation and daily organisation

Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create an inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting

A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

A proactive, reliable and flexible approach
