Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Time-Served Welder Fabricator to join our team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to high standards, mid to heavy steel, working from technical drawings and ensuring all work meets quality and safety requirements. This is a full-time role suited to an experienced tradesperson with strong fabrication and welding skills.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate metal components 
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble steel and other metals
Operate workshop machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, grinders, and drills
Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Carry out repairs and modifications to existing structures or components when required
Requirements

equivalent qualification in welding and fabrication
Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator within a workshop or manufacturing environment
Strong fabrication skills including measuring, marking out, and assembly
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Understanding of health and safety practices in a fabrication environment
Desirable Skills

Experience working with structural steel, sheet metal, or heavy fabrication
Welding certifications (e.g., coded welding qualifications)
Forklift or overhead crane experience
