Senior Quality Engineer to join our team-based nationally with flexible working.The salary on offer is from £55,000 and up to 10% bonus

About the role:The role is responsible for, leading the end-to-end testing across a complex programme of work, ensuring that all systems, integrations, and data flows are thoroughly validated to meet business and technical requirements. Reporting to the QA Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the test strategy, coordinating test activities across multiple workstreams, and ensuring alignment with project milestones. You will be responsible for overseeing the testing of system integrations, third-party platforms, and database interactions, ensuring a seamless and high-quality implementation. This role demands strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will also bring hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, helping to drive efficiency and consistency across the testing lifecycle.
The Senior Quality Engineer will have experience of implementation and usage of automated testing tools such as:
- Web Automation (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress)
- API Testing (Postman and RestSharp)
- BDD Specification-based Testing tools (ReqnRoll, Cucumber)
- CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps and Jenkins
What you will bring to the role:- Lead the testing workstream for a major application procurement and implementation project, ensuring all testing activities align with project goals and timelines
- Collaborate closely with the QA Manager, project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to define and deliver a comprehensive test strategy.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of testing, including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Ensure thorough validation of system and database integrations, including third-party and legacy system interfaces.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring traceability to business and technical requirements.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution, working with development and vendor teams to ensure timely fixes and retesting.
- Champion the use of automated testing tools and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Monitor and report on test progress, risks, and issues, providing clear and concise updates Role Profile to the Test Manager and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing test team environment.
- Ensure testing is conducted in line with organisational standards, compliance requirements, and best practices
