An established housing support provider is looking for an empathetic, proactive, and organised Resident Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Bradford. You'll play a key role in supporting residents with their day-to-day needs, helping them maintain stable accommodation and work towards living independently.
What you'll be doing:
* Delivering weekly one-to-one support sessions and updating risk assessments and support plans
* Assisting residents with benefits applications, budgeting, and accessing essential services (e.g., food banks)
* Supporting residents with life skills such as managing finances, adhering to tenancy agreements, and reducing anti-social behaviour
* Helping new residents settle into their accommodation and understand house rules
* Liaising with external agencies to ensure residents get the best possible outcomes
* Conducting health & safety checks and reporting property issues
* Taking appropriate steps to deal with breaches or tenancy issues, in line with policy and with senior authorisation
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in housing, social care, or support work (or a strong desire to enter the sector)
* Compassionate and confident communicator, able to manage sensitive issues calmly and effectively
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to complete admin and update digital records accurately
* A proactive approach and commitment to helping people improve their lives
* A good understanding of safeguarding and housing-related support is desirable
