Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf a well-established, values-led FMCH business in Leicester. Reporting to the CFO, you'll be a senior figure within the finance leadership team - championing consistency, robust governance, and high-quality reporting across the division. Your remit will span financial control, capital and cashflow management, and leading a team of finance professionals.

You'll act as the senior finance point of contact across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring accuracy, insight, and challenge are embedded into the day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading financial governance across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

  • Managing month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Driving improvements in working capital and cashflow across the division

  • Overseeing internal and external audit processes and ensuring compliance with Group accounting standards

  • Leading Monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting and providing financial visibility across all sites

  • Overseeing capital project governance and fixed asset reporting

  • Managing and developing a team of qualified accountants and project finance specialists

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with post-qualification experience

  • Background in a senior finance role within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a multi-site environment

  • Strong understanding of financial control, audit, and cashflow management

  • Experience with capital governance and leading cross-site reporting processes

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
