About The Role
Dyer & Butler are seeking a Project Manager to take a key role in our Survey team.  With a primary focus on our key clients at Heathrow airport. On occasion you may be supporting our Aviation, Defence and Adjacent Markets sectors covering projects around the Southeast and Midlands.
The Survey team provides technical services to a range of construction related disciplines, including invaluable support to our divisional teams and departments within design and construction phases of projects.
This role would be based at Heathrow - suitable for an existing Project and Survey Manager looking to progress their career and lead business growth.
Role Purpose:

Manage commercial performance of the Survey team, effectively managing cost and delivering value.
Act as an Authority in Service Protection at Heathrow and support for other sectors (Wider Aviation, Highways and Rail)
Manage the running of numerous survey projects from planning stage through to delivery of data to the end client.
Being client focused, showing excellent understanding of the scope of works, ensuring excellent safety, standards and quality are maintained throughout the life cycle of the project.
Maintaining excellent communication between all departments and managing expectations. Of the internal survey team and wider business units and the client.
Continually strive for, and lead on innovation in the survey field.Qualifying Criteria:

Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Expert knowledge of Survey Disciplines, including PAS128 (Utility Detection)
Ability and willingness to work flexibly (shift / away from base location)
Exceptional contract awareness and understanding of standard forms of contract such as NEC 3 or 4, ICE, JCT.
Good grasp of commercial responsibilities
High standard of presentation skills
Good knowledge and understanding of CAD practices.
Good Site setting out skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to interpret scopes, technical information and drawings.
Ability to manage work efficiently between multiple projects.
Good communications skills and ability to work well with other teams and departments at all levels both internally and externally, including client liaison.
Excellent data management and Quality Control.
Prepare survey reports containing information, conclusions and recommendations.
Contribute to the enhancement of the quality of delivered products by identifying and introducing improvement opportunities.
Train, support, mentor and guide survey teams.
Share knowledge and coach other team members in order to support improvements in team's performance.
Keep up to date with legislations and current industry standards.
Working knowledge and understanding of CDM roles and SHEQ duties.
Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement.
Desirable:
Level 5 or above QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying

Experience of using GPR scanners, GPS and RD series equipment
SMSTS or equivalent Site Management Training

Knowledge of N4CE survey software
Holder of CSCS accreditation

Basic knowledge of BIM practices
