Maintenance Mechanic Needed For Cabinet Manufactuer

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team of professionals. We manufacture and distributes kitchen and bath cabinets throughout the United States under the multiple brand names. We are an established, reputable company with a large client base. Position roles

  • Maintenance Technician will be called upon to oversee capital improvements, plan, layout, and perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic installations. You will need to manage & supervise or perform various mechanical and electrical maintenance repairs on all plant machinery and equipment.

  • will coordinate activities with other managers to ensure consistency across shifts and plant, lead continuous assessment, feedback, and development of employees toward higher levels of individual and group performance.

  • Responsible for maintenance department employee hiring and team development within the guidelines set forth by company policies and approvals.

  • Develop and implement preventative Maintenance programs to effectively and quantitatively improve equipment overall effective time and availability.

  • Additional responsibilities include conducting regular meetings to discuss business information, plant performance vs. goals, issues, and concerns with crews, and ensuring that the execution of work is consistent with the plant's goals.


  • Responsible for the safety of the department as well as machines to ensure the safety of plant personnel.

  • Ensure all safe work practices and procedures are followed. Wear all prescribed personal protective equipment.

  • Ensure all proper lockout/tag out procedures are followed.

  • Install, removal, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repair a wide variety of electrical and mechanical equipment and components related to the facilities and equipment used in cabinet manufacturing.

  • Connection of PC & PLC, load & download, troubleshooting of programs.

  • Work from detail prints, schematics, samples, drawings, and/or verbal instructions to repair/replace motors, drives, controllers, communication systems and other related equipment.

  • Installation of conduit, brackets, and framework for mountings.

  • Ensure the tear down of complex units, determine extent of trouble, repair and/or replace defective or worn parts and wiring, reassemble, reset, adjust or reprogram system for proper operation in a timely manner.

  • Assist Engineering Department in wire drawings or diagrams in order to maintain up-to-date prints.

  • Detect & report faulty material, improper operations and unusual conditions to management.

  • Operate company vehicles as required.

  • Ensure maintenance employees maintain work areas in clean and orderly manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
