Key ResponsibilitiesManage a varied caseload involving children, families, carers, and individuals, promoting independence and positive outcomes
Undertake assessments to identify support needs, ensuring active participation from service users
Provide clear, accurate information and collaborate with partner agencies to support families holistically
Lead or participate in child protection investigations and assess risk levels with guidance from the Team Manager
Monitor and review service delivery to ensure continuous improvement
Provide professional advice and reflective supervision to less experienced team members
Contribute to the development and supervision of fostering and adoption arrangements, helping to keep children within their families wherever possible
About the RoleReporting to the Team Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social work services that promote child safety, family stability, and long-term well-being. This role is key to supporting children and young people while reducing the risk of family separation and ensuring effective care planning.
Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant professional qualification in Social Work
Registration with Social Work England
At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in children's services
Knowledge of statutory legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and social care best practices
Skills & Attributes:
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work in multi-agency and inter-professional settings
