Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Home (4-bed)
Location: Haverhill, Suffolk
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Salary: Base £53,000, rising to £60,800 with performance-related bonuses
About the Role
We’re seeking a committed and experienced Registered Manager to lead a new 4-bed children’s home in Haverhill. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a fresh service and make a lasting impact on young lives aged 11–17 with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations and ensure high standards of care
- Lead, support, and develop a dedicated staff team
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
- Maintain accurate records and oversee inspections
- Arrange staff rotas and ensure appropriate cover at all times
- Champion positive outcomes and well-being for young people
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
- Minimum Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People
- At least 2–3 years’ management experience in residential childcare
- Strong understanding of the Children’s Act and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Full UK driving licence
