Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Home (4-bed)

Location: Haverhill, Suffolk

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Salary: Base £53,000, rising to £60,800 with performance-related bonuses

About the Role

We’re seeking a committed and experienced Registered Manager to lead a new 4-bed children’s home in Haverhill. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a fresh service and make a lasting impact on young lives aged 11–17 with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure high standards of care
• Lead, support, and develop a dedicated staff team
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
• Maintain accurate records and oversee inspections
• Arrange staff rotas and ensure appropriate cover at all times
• Champion positive outcomes and well-being for young people

Requirements

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
• Minimum Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People
• At least 2–3 years’ management experience in residential childcare
• Strong understanding of the Children’s Act and safeguarding procedures
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Full UK driving licence
