At Long-Term Teachers, we’re currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children in schools across Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to inclusive education and ready to make a lasting impact in the classroom.

Whether you’re an experienced SEN professional or have a strong background in pastoral care and are looking to transition into an SEN role, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

This long-term role will involve working 1:1 or in small group settings with pupils who may have complex needs, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs, or require tailored behavioural support. You’ll play a key role in helping them thrive both academically and personally.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH (desirable)
  • A solid understanding of behavioural management strategies
  • A nurturing, patient, and compassionate approach
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different school environments
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils reach their full potential
  • Confident, open-minded and proactive individuals
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of intervention/support programmes for SEND (preferred)
