Warehouse Operative

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months, with possible extension

Pay: £12.84 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (30-minute lunch)

Location: Livingston, EH54 8TE - Fully office based

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading records management company that supports businesses with the secure storage, management, protection and handling of physical and digital records and documents.

• Document & records storage – secure, purpose-built facilities for business records, files, wills and deeds
• Document scanning & digitisation – converting paper files into digital formats for easier access and management
• Secure shredding & destruction - confidential disposal of sensitive documents in line with data protection requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking and moving boxes containing important documents
• Scanning boxes for delivery and loading them onto pallets
• Moving boxes around a large warehouse environment
• Supporting a large-scale project within the warehouse
• Wrapping pallets prior to collection and transportation
• Occasionally driving van

Skills & Requirements :

• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous manual handling experience
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Disclosure check will be carried out
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential
