Building Physics Consultant - Energy Modelling (TAS Focus)

Location: Milton KeynesSalary: £35,000 - £45,000Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote)

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a well-established building services consultancy that is continuing to expand its building physics and sustainability capabilities. They are looking to bring on a Building Physics Consultant with a strong focus on energy modelling using TAS to support a diverse range of projects.

This position offers the opportunity to work across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, and commercial, with a clear emphasis on low-energy, performance-driven design.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Deliver dynamic thermal and energy modelling, primarily using TAS
  • Support compliance with UK Building Regulations (Part L)
  • Contribute to building performance analysis and design optimisation
  • Collaborate with design teams to enhance energy efficiency and occupant comfort
  • Assist with BREEAM assessments, particularly thermal comfort analysis
  • Produce clear and concise technical reports and simulation outputs
  • Provide input during project discussions with a focus on building performance
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years' experience in building physics or energy modelling
  • Strong hands-on experience with TAS (or similar software)
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, particularly Part L
  • Familiarity with BREEAM, especially thermal comfort criteria
  • Relevant degree (e.g. Building Services, Environmental Engineering)
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
