Have you ever supported young people experiencing homelessness?
We are looking for a Housing Support Worker to do just that...provide the support required for young people (16 - 24) to move forward.
What are the basics?
- Permanent contract
- Full time employment 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Salary of £23,982 + on call payments
- Extra payments for shifts covered outside of normal working hours
- Excellent holiday package that grows up to 40 days of leave (incl. Bank Holidays) over time

What will you do?
- Support young people 16 to 24 years of age
- Work with individuals who present with challenging and complex lives
- Assist in moving people towards sustainable and suitable accommodation
- Help young people to sustain a long-term tenancy
- Apply the housing first approach to the work you do
- Carry out risk assessments and construct support plans
- Use a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to the work you do
- Working across the Swansea area with your caseload of young people
What do you need?
- Good knowledge of housing related support
- Able to support young people with chaotic and complex lives
- A solid understanding of the effects of homelessness
- Experience of multi-agency working with other services, partners and organisations
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- A good record keeper
- A driver with access to a vehicle for community working
- A DBS on the update service will be a distinct advantage (Enhanced for adult and child workforce)
