Job Description

Educational Requirements:

Four-year degree required preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Information Technology

General Requirements:
Must have a minimum of four plus years of work experience.

Preference will be given to anyone with one or more of the following but not all are required for employment:

  • Experience with DoD’s Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR)
  • Experience applying the GAO FISCAM in financial statement audits or A-123 control assessments. Specifically, assessing internal controls to determine if relevant IT General and IT Application control objectives will be satisfied.
  • Experience preparing or performing supervisory review of audit NFRs including the condition, cause, criteria, effect, and recommendation to determine if specific/actionable feedback is communicated.
  • Experience preparing or performing supervisory review of CAPs to ensure compliance with A-123 informational/content requirements and assessing the design of the CAPS to determine if the planned corrective action will address associated NFRs.
  • Experience Auditing Financial Statements of Federal Government (DoD a plus)
  • Experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience with information system auditing of financial systems of federal government agencies
  • Experience as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Experience in leading change management, strategic communications, business process reengineering, or financial management systems implementation initiatives
  • Experience designing, developing, and administering Microsoft SharePoint, Project Server
  • Experience with Federal or Commercial Cost Management, Managerial Accounting, and/or Financial Management
  • United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), and/or the DoD’s Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS)
  • Experience with Military Service Lines of Accounting (LoAs) or working knowledge of the DoD’s Standard Line of Accounting (SLOA) initiative
  • Experience with Intergovernmental Transactions (IGT) to include systems work with IPP, IPAC, DFAS's, IPAC wizard, Treasury IGT Requirements or other applicable systems or functional expertise
  • Experience with Federal Business Systems (DoD Business Systems a plus)
  • SAP, Oracle and/or other relevant business software implementation (Federal Government Implementations a plus)
  • Internal Control or other system testing (Federal Government experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (FMR), FISO requirements, OMB Circulars, Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), and/or Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)
  • Experience with General Services Administration (GSA), OMB, U.S. Treasury, the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Comptroller (OUSD(C), the DoD Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer (ODCMO), Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) Office, Military Services, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), DoD Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), the Office of the Inspective General (OIG) of a Federal Agency
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
