Design Engineer

Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk

Hours: 40 hours per week- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Benefits: 26 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, Health cash plan, death in service cover

Job Duties:

* Create high-quality 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

* Lead projects from concept to completion, collaborating with teams across the business.

* Translate customer briefs into accurate and cost-effective designs.

* Update and maintain drawing records using the internal drawing management system.

* Support junior designers and share technical knowledge.

* Prepare approval and production drawings and ensure manufacturing plans are efficient and clear.

* Work closely with production to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.

* Contribute to the development of new products and mould designs.

* Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing better ways of working.

What we are looking for:

* Strong experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in a professional setting.

* A qualification in Design or Engineering (e.g. A-Level, BTEC, Apprenticeship, or Degree).

* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (desirable).

* Confident project management and communication skills.

* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail.

* Comfortable working cross-functionally and coaching others when needed.

* Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

* Enthusiastic, collaborative, and aligned with values like integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
