Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £58,000 + overtime (time and a half, double time on Sundays)
Hours: 40 per week - rotating shifts (Mon-Thurs: 6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6, Fri: 6-11 / 11-4 / 4-9)
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, matched pension contributions up to 6%, additional holiday cover pay

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. In this hands-on role, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of machinery, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and equipment operates at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct reactive maintenance and fault finding on electrical systems

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to maintain reliability

Diagnose and repair issues with motors, drives, sensors, relays, and PLCs

Work from electrical diagrams and technical manuals

Maintain safe working practices and comply with H&S regulations

Collaborate with team members to deliver engineering excellence

Skills & Experience

Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent)

Proven track record in an electrical maintenance role

Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, inverter drives, electrical schematics

Competence in PLC fault finding and input/output systems

Background in manufacturing or heavy industry (desirable)

Proactive, reliable, and able to work under pressure in a team environment
