* Up to c£54,000 per year (Pro-Rata)

The Opportunity:

My client are a public sector organisation that are currently looking for an IT Operations Manager on an initial 6 month fixed term contract whilst they go through a substantial period of change.

Your main responsibility in this role is to support the Director for ICT & Data to maintain IT services in alignment with their core strategies including the delivery of a high-quality IT infrastructure that supports professional development, digital innovation, sustainability and the wider company growth strategy.

You will also be managing and maintaining IT systems, services and resources for safe and effective use by students and colleagues, as well as managing the IT teams to deliver outstanding IT services across the business.

Skills and Experience:

* Candidates must have at least 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role providing network management, IT maintenance and repair skills

* Logging, prioritising, delegating and planning jobs, providing strategic IT planning and implementation initiatives across multi-site organisations

* Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively to a range of audiences (internal and external) through highly developed inter-personal, written, oral and presentation skills

* Experienced in leading digital transformation initiatives as well as understanding of sustainable IT practices and green technologies

* Specialist certifications such as Microsoft 365 Administrator and/or agile project management would be very beneficial

* Working across multiple sites providing IT support and direction, supporting organisational growth and change through technology and IT systems

* Degree level qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
