Role details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a focus on Treasury, Transactions & Governance. This role is based in Bristol, but will require flexibility for travel to other UK sites as per business needs. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and manage a team of six. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to financial reporting, strategic planning, and transactional processing. The ideal candidate will be experienced, flexible, and ready to take responsibility for managing the Treasury, Transactions & Governance across multiple sites.

Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, strategic planning, and transactional processing. Your role will also involve coordinating both external and internal audits, managing foreign exchange reporting requirements, and ensuring that our financial control environment remains robust. You will also oversee SAP GRC process adherence and manage both AP and AR teams. Your leadership skills will be crucial in ensuring that team members have clear development plans in place.

  • Responsible for financial reporting, delivery of the Strategic Plan and transactional processing.
  • Co-ordination of the annual external audit and any internal audit visits.
  • Co-ordination of foreign exchange reporting requirements including month end foreign currency reporting, quarterly forecasting for hedge purposes, monthly review of hedges in place and consideration of additional hedge requirements.
  • Ensure a robust financial control environment is maintained and documented in the Ways of Working.
  • Oversee SAP GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) process adherence.
  • Manage the AP and AR teams to deliver an efficient and cost-effective service.
  • Ensure development plans are in place and actively managed for team members with a view to succession planning.
  • Management of existing capital investments.

What the successful candidate will bring

  • Educated to degree level
  • Professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Financial Reporting
  • Understanding of financial controls and processes
  • Experience of Financial forecasting and planning
  • Managing teams
  • Experience working within a fast paced UK plc. environment
  • Good working knowledge of an ERP system (SAP preferable)
