Senior Engineering Manager Cardiff Leading Manufacturing Business

A leading manufacturing organisation based in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join their leadership team during an exciting period of sustained growth. The site is currently undergoing a significant expansion phase, and this role will play a critical part in shaping and driving engineering performance through this next chapter.

This is a high-impact leadership position with a strong focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and site reliability, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across operations.

The Role:

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 15 maintenance technicians
• Drive improvements in OEE, reliability, and asset performance
• Implement and enhance preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
• Work cross-functionally with production and operational teams to maximise uptime and efficiency
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety
• Play a key role in supporting site growth, investment, and operational scaling

• Proven experience in a senior engineering or maintenance leadership role within manufacturing
• Strong track record of delivering improvements in OEE and equipment reliability
• A modern, people-focused leader with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams
• Skilled in building high-performing teams and driving engagement
• Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
