About the Role

A specialist SEND school in Leeds is seeking an exceptional Learning Support Assistant to join their highly nurturing and forward-thinking team. You will be working with pupils aged 4-19 with a range of needs, including:

Autism (ASC)

Non-verbal communication

Learning disabilities

Sensory needs

Complex needs

Medical needs (training provided)

This is a long-term, full-time school-based role working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Assisting with communication, sensory regulation and emotional wellbeing

Helping to deliver personalised learning plans

Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists

Providing support with medical or personal care needs (training provided)

Creating a calm, positive and engaging learning environment

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in ANY of the following:

SEND classroom support

Autism / non-verbal support

Youth work / care / residential work

Early Years / Nursery background

Behaviour or SEMH support

Personal care or healthcare support

Passion, patience and a willingness to learn are more important than formal qualifications.
