What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 childcare or early years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience in an early years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or senior practitioner.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, child development, and safeguarding.
  • Confident communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A calm, creative, inclusive approach with a passion for outdoor learning.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead your room’s daily practice, ensuring a safe, inspiring, and nurturing environment.
  • Deliver engaging activities aligned with EYFS and the nursery’s outdoor-focused ethos.
  • Mentor and support practitioners to maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Build strong relationships with children and families through clear communication and trust.
  • Oversee observations, planning, and assessments to support each child’s development.
  • Maintain safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at the heart of your work.
