We are looking for a Senior Meat Category Buyer, to join this well established, and growing, fine food importer and distributor at their UK / European Head Office in Park Royal, London.

The Senior Meat Buyer will lead a small team and take full ownership of the meat category - managing supplier relationships, ensuring best-in-class sourcing, stock control and commercial performance.

The Role:

* Leading and continually developing the meat product category.

* Managing and mentoring a small team of buyers.

* Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships across the global market.

* Coordinating inbound logistics with third-party providers.

* Monitoring stock levels to meet availability and target.

* Striving for continuous improvement.

About You:

* A proven track record in a similar purchasing role (prior experience of procuring meat / protein is essential).

* Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a small team.

* Strong organisational skills.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

* A genuine interest in premium food products and high standards of service.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a very competitive package that includes an excellent basic salary in the region of £50-55,000.
