Healthcare Architect

A well-established, multidisciplinary design practice is seeking a Healthcare Architect to join its growing healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of public and private healthcare projects, within a collaborative and supportive studio environment.

The role will initially focus on technical delivery, particularly across acute healthcare refurbishment projects, with longer-term involvement across all RIBA work stages as the role develops.

The Role

You will contribute to the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects, working closely with clients, consultants, and clinical stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to a high technical and design standard.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver healthcare projects from concept through to completion

Prepare feasibility studies and technical reports

Lead and support technical delivery across projects

Deliver projects for NHS and private sector clients

Liaise with clients, consultants, and clinical stakeholders

Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard

About You

Strong design ability with excellent attention to detail

Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, Health Building Notes (HBNs) and Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs)

Technically confident with a "right first time" approach

Confident communicator with strong collaboration skills

Organised, proactive, and takes pride in the quality of their work

Demonstrates leadership potential and a team-focused mindset

Experience & Skills

Essential

Experience working on healthcare projects

Proven proficiency in Revit and experience working in a BIM environment

Desirable

2+ years' healthcare design experience

Experience working across RIBA work stages

Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams

Software Skills
