Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working partnership with our client to recruit a qualified Service & Maintenance Engineer to carry out the maintenance (and installation, as required) of various AC units and other equipment.

This will be a field-based role (with national travel) and prospective candidates can be based anywhere between Stoke and Oxford, although close proximity to Bromsgrove would be preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance (and installation, as required) of various AC units and other equipment.
Train clients/end users in use of the systems.
Completion of relevant reports.
Completion of point of work risk assessments.
Troubleshooting during installation - i.e. working out why a system is not working correctly and developing a solution.
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in your specialist area.
National travel as required.
Being part of an 'on call' rota (currently 1 in 4).

Skills and Experience:

F-Gas qualification [essential].
Brazing qualification/experience [essential].
At least 3 years' experience working within a similar role.
Commercial Gas qualification [highly desirable].
Technical competency demonstrated through NVQ/SVQ Level 2 and/or completion of relevant trade apprenticeship.
Setting up HVAC/Split AC systems.
Knowledge of AHUs, Condensers, Internal AC Units (ducted, cassette, wall mount), and Control Panels.
Leak testing of refrigerant systems.
Recovery and charging of refrigerant systems.
Brazing.
F-Gas and Gas Safe testing and sign off.
CSCS Skilled Worker or Supervisor card (or ECS card if electrically biased).
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
Competent in using MS Office/Outlook.
Written skills to be able to prepare reports.
Clean driving licence.
