Reed Finance are pleased to be supporting a successful and growing owner-managed business in their search for a newly created Financial Controller. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director and help shape, develop and enhance the finance function. The Financial Controller will help oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring financial health and supporting strategic decision-making, while partnering very closely with the FD.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee the day to day financial operations
• Help develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Directors.
• Manage cash flow, including monitoring and forecasting.
• Assist in providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
• Lead and mentor a couple of individuals in the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
