Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator

Global Recruitment, on behalf of a trusted client, is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator to join a growing team in the Govan area of Glasgow. This is a temp-to-perm position.

Role: Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator
Location: Govan, Glasgow
Rate: £17.50 per hour
Payment Method: CIS / Umbrella
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:45pm, Friday 8:00am-3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

*

Participate in the sheet metal manufacturing process

*

Accurately cut sheet metal using guillotines (including Amada models)

*

Work from technical drawings

*

Operate various hand and power tools safely

*

Follow established in-house processes and procedures

Skills & Experience Required:

*

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings

*

Experienced in working with a range of metals, including aluminium, pre-coated sheet, and stainless steel

*

Skilled with precision measuring tools to ensure accurate fabrication

*

High attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality under tight tolerances

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills

*

Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre large metal sheets and work in different positions for extended periods
