Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver - Mixed Role (Permanent)

Location: PeterboroughSalary: Up to £25,000 DOE + up to £4,000 annual bonus (paid quarterly)Start: Expected start date to be within 2-4 weeksHours: Mon- Friday - Days only

The Opportunity

An established, well-organised distribution business in Peterborough is seeking a permanent Warehouse Operative to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, operating FLT trucks and taking pride in keeping a warehouse safe, clean and efficient.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating Counterbalance FLT (Reach Truck experience is desirable but not essential)
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Picking, packing and preparing orders
• Weighing materials and completing basic kilo-based calculations
• Stock put-away and general housekeeping
• Following strict health & safety procedures
• Manual handling of products (heavy lifting required)
• Working proactively — busy mornings and quieter afternoons that require good initiative

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance licence 
• Reach Truck experience beneficial (training can be provided)
• Previous warehouse experience in a physically demanding role
• Confident with numbers and basic maths
• Strong attention to health & safety and cleanliness
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Able to work well within a small, friendly warehouse team

Environment & PPE

• PPE required at all times: safety shoes and high-vis
• Additional PPE such as hair nets, gloves, masks and overalls available when required
• The products involve herbs/spices, so you must be comfortable working around strong smells
• Very health-and-safety-focused environment
• Clean, organised warehouse with high training standards
