About the Role:

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join a supportive team in Residential Care Homes for elderly residents, many of whom are living with dementia and may display challenging behaviours. If you are passionate about providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults, we would love to hear from you!

As a Care Assistant, your role will be to ensure residents receive personal care, emotional support, and assistance with daily living activities, in line with individual care plans. You will play a key role in helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality personal care (washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility support) to residents.

* Assist with feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.

* Build trusting relationships to reduce anxiety and support behavioural de-escalation.

* Observe and monitor residents' health, reporting concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.

* Maintain accurate care and behavioural records.

* Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

* Encourage social interaction and participation in meaningful activities.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best care possible.

Skills & Experience:

* Experience working with elderly individuals, particularly those with dementia or challenging behaviour, is an advantage.

* A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with professionalism and sensitivity.

* NVQ in Health and Social Care (or similar qualification) is desirable but not essential.
