Job Title: Depot Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We are currently looking for a skilled and proactive Depot Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Washington NEC Distribution Centre. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure the depot runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities as a Depot Maintenance Technician

Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with KPI deadlines.

*

Respond promptly to Helpdesk service calls and carry out necessary repairs.

*

Diagnose faults and recommend solutions, including replacement where needed.

*

Carry out electrical testing, inspections, and minor installations with full certification.

*

Maintain accurate records, including time sheets and service paperwork.

*

Liaise with site managers and contractors to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed to standard.

*

Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and used correctly.

*

Support project teams on site alterations and modernization works.

*

Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health & safety regulations.

*

Assist colleagues across sites when needed and represent the company professionally at all times.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

*

City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)

*

Level 3 core electrical qualification (e.g. C&G 2330, 2365)

*

Strong understanding of 3-phase electrical systems

*

Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications

*

Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable Qualifications

*

City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)

*

Familiarity with electrical certification procedures

*

Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in an electrical maintenance role
