Description Summary: M3 has an immediate need for a Solutions Architect (Contract or Direct Hire) within the Information Technology function of the business. This position is a critical enablement role and therefore requires the right balance of Technical and Interpersonal excellence. The SA is responsible for envisioning and designing software and infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements and creating high-level and detailed architectural specifications ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms. The Solutions Architect will then provide the development team with guidance, patterns, practices and frameworks to deliver the optimal product and customer experience. Primary Responsibilities: The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties. Must Have: Define and drive a product architecture that meets business needs and aligns with the overall platform architecture for the company. Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility, scalability, security, extensibility and quality. Experience designing web applications to scale (prefer Angular 7.0, Microservices, Containers, .Net Core, SQL databases, EntityFramework, Messaging) Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product Working with development team to define all aspects of development from appropriate technology to workflows, additionally provide technical guidance and coaching, Review progress of product development to ensure consistency with initial design Work with Agile methodology to evolve the product design and implementation. Expected to have: Owns, creates, and/or manages the creation of: Current and Future State Architectures, Architecture assumptions and Trade-off Analysis, Architecture Approach Recommendations, Business and Technology Roadmaps, Business Process Flows, Project and Program Cost and Benefit Estimates Identify opportunities for operational cost reduction based on technology enhancement, automation, consolidation, modernization, and/ or replacement This position requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate articulately using professionally written and spoken English. Recommend industry best practices for solving business and technical problems. Education/Training/Experience: 4 years minimum experience as a solution architect building complex, highly scalable applications. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science highly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Expert understanding of technical concepts and software development life cycle(s) (SDLC) with a focus on enterprise-level Agile . Experience with Microsoft technology stack, containers, database architecture, newer versions of Angular, authentication and authorization and messaging. Extensive understanding of and experience with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Software selection and implementation. Extensive understanding of and experience with custom developed business applications across a wide range of technologies and platforms; including client-server, web and mobile applications. Experience with on-premise or hybrid cloud architecture models. Experience with open source web technology and tools Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods. Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods. Ability to travel in representing the company’s interests required. Ability to attend work and meetings with excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to bend and lift 25 lbs. This position required regular attendance, punctuality and the ability to work a full-time position during normal office hours as well as some time on weekends and evenings as project needs or scheduling requirements dictate.
