Homes Manager - Children's Residential Care

Location: Walsall
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week, Monday - Friday)
Salary: £55,000 (increasing to £57,500 upon Ofsted registration) + £3,000 Annual Bonus

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Dual Homes Manager to lead two fully operational therapeutic (EBD) residential children's homes in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with previous Ofsted registration and strong leadership experience within the children's residential care sector.

Key Responsibilities

* Have overall responsibility for the smooth running of both homes and ensuring a high standard of care is provided.

* Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.

* Maintain and regularly review the home's Statement of Purpose to ensure it is up to date.

* Facilitate Reg 44 visits and ensure all actions are followed up. Complete Reg 45 reports in a timely manner.

* Ensure safeguarding policies are embedded and the well-being of all young people is promoted.

* Oversee staffing rotas, finances, training, and supervisions.

* Respond promptly to complaints or safeguarding issues, reporting to the relevant bodies (e.g. LADO, Ofsted).

* Encourage professional development and deliver staff supervisions and PDPs.

* Maintain a nurturing, safe, and inclusive home environment where children can thrive.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous registration with Ofsted and the ability to pass fit person registration.

* A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role in a children's residential setting.

* Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Ability to participate in the on-call rota as needed.

* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

* A committed, resilient and flexible approach to working with vulnerable young people.
