Management Accountant - 6 Month Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a successful UK-based organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant on an initial 6-month temp-to-perm basis.
Working on a hybrid basis, this role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who is looking for a hands-on position within a fast-paced Finance function, with genuine opportunities to develop.

Job DutiesTechnical Responsibilities - Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, collaborating with the Finance Manager, Financial Controller and Head of Commercial Finance.
- Manage cross-business unit monthly journals.
- Support preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of payroll mechanisms including holiday accruals, Apprenticeship Levy and other reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cross-training within the Management Accounts team to improve resilience.
- Champion process improvements and drive efficiencies across Finance.
- Prioritise project initiatives with the Finance Manager, balancing daily workload with wider business needs.
- Act as day-to-day lead for the procurement purchase order project.
- Complete monthly inter-group reconciliations, including recharges, accruals and prepayments.
- Support annual Audit requirements.
Leadership Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day line management and pastoral support to two junior management accountants.
- Prepare annual performance development plans and conduct regular 1:1s.
- Act as a leader within the wider Finance team, building strong cross-department relationships.
- Contribute to Finance Leadership projects.
- Deputise for the Finance Manager when required.

Ideal Experience - Fully qualified or finalist ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent).
- Strong technical finance experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure, particularly during month-end periods.
- Advanced Excel and strong overall IT literacy.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise monthly deliverables alongside process-improvement initiatives.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and keen to progress professionally.
