Metalis are supporting a global machine tool specialist who provide engineering solutions to a prestigious client base, including Rolls Royce, McLaren F1, and BAE Systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international business that invests heavily in training and development - including overseas training courses in Milan to upskill their engineers.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you'll travel to customer sites across the UK (primarily the Midlands region) to carry out installation and service work on a range of machine tools, typically 3-axis milling machines.

Work will include:

Installing rotary tables, involving panel wiring and electrical integration.
Servicing and troubleshooting machine tools.
Assisting with machine testing, program editing, and parameter setting.
Supporting customers with technical issues to ensure job satisfaction.Occasional overnight stays are required (sometimes none, occasionally up to twice per week). All expenses are fully covered.

Daily Responsibilities:

Attend installation/service jobs, pre-scheduled via iPad.
Retrofit rotary tables to 3-axis milling machines.
Carry out panel wiring and 3-phase electrical work.
Work with Fanuc (and occasionally Heidenhain/Siemens) systems - training provided if required.What We're Looking For

Good electrical engineering background.
Previous experience wiring machine tools is desirable.
Knowledge of machine interfaces / Fanuc systems (training provided if required).What's Included
