Cover Supervisors Wanted for September | Southport

We are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools across Southport and the surrounding areas this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of the local educational community, stepping in to ensure a smooth, positive learning experience for students in the absence of their regular teacher

Location: We are seeking to partner with local schools across Southport and its surrounding communities, including Birkdale and Ainsdale (PR8) and Churchtown and Crossens (PR9).Pay: We offer a competitive daily rate of £90-£95, with both full-time and part-time options available to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing (Your Main Duties):

  • Deliver Pre-set Work: Supervise classes and ensure students complete the work provided by the absent teacher.
  • Maintain Classroom Harmony: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and focused learning environment.
  • Support Learning: Provide general assistance and encouragement to students to help them stay on task.
  • Be the Face of the School: Uphold the school's values and ethos, acting as a positive role model for students.
  • Report Back: Accurately feedback on student progress and any incidents to the relevant staff members.

Skills & Qualifications needed:

  • A confident and authoritative presence in a classroom.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to be adaptable and think on your feet.
  • Experience working with young people (e.g., in a school, youth club, or tutoring capacity).
  • A degree or relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
