Haddington Care Home is a well established care home in Haddington, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative care for up to 68 residents. With a strong team culture and focus on high standards, the home offers a supportive environment where staff can develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.
Domestic Assistant
- £12.71 per hour
- 13 hours per week (2 days)
- Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
Role Overview
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues. Your work will directly support residents' comfort, dignity and overall wellbeing.
You will carry out cleaning duties across residents' rooms, communal areas and bathrooms, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard of hygiene. You will also support with laundry tasks, ensuring clothing and linens are handled with care and returned correctly.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will follow infection prevention and health and safety procedures at all times, helping to create a well maintained and homely environment throughout the care home.

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous domestic or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential
